Suryakumar Yadav’s India to have 3-4 day camp in Dubai to organize for Asia Cup 2025

India’s Asia Cup marketing campaign begins on September 10 once they face UAE.

With the cancellation of white-ball series against Bangladesh in August, Team India have found a rare one-month window for break. However, soon, the Asia Cup 2025 starts and players will be a bit rusty to start off. Due to this, there has been a pre-decided camp for Suryakumar Yadav and his unit in the UAE to prepare and get acclimatise for the Asia Cup 2025.

Month-long break for India before Asia Cup 2025

The famous sight of Mohammed Siraj rattling down Gus Atkinson’s off-stump at Kennington Oval transpired on August 4. After that, India was supposed to travel to Bangladesh for a white-ball but it never came to fruition. Hence, the Men in Blues next assignment will be straight in the Asia Cup 2025.

To cater this, the BCCI asked the team if they needed a camp in India, possibly at the Centre of Excellence to prepare for the Asia Cup. Instead, the team have responded with their wish to conduct a camp in Dubai. For this, India will fly 3-4 days early to get accustomed to the conditions.

Instead of having a camp here (India), the team will fly three-four days early so that they can get decent practice before the tournament starts,” a source said to Indian Express.

Moreover, there are many players who didn’t even feature in the India vs England Tests, and thus lack match practice ever since the IPL 2025. Two of the biggest names in the that bracket are Abhishek Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, who has recovered from his hernia surgery successfully. Sanju Samson, meanwhile, recently hit a fifty albeit in a friendly game. However, he will part of the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) 2025.

On the contrary, Pakistan team will enter the Asia Cup 2025 with enough white-ball games behind them. After their white-ball series against Bangladesh and the West Indies, Pakistan will hold a camp at ICC Academy from August 22. However, that’s not it, the Men in Green will play a tri-nation series against the UAE and Afghanistan before the Asia Cup.

The format provides Pakistan with ample opportunities to refine their skills, and the selectors are likely to rotate their team, potentially including two or three new players. Unlike India, Pakistan possibly have five matches before the Asia Cup. The entire series will be played in Sharjah, while the Asia Cup matches will be played in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
